Reading
We absolutely love reading across our school and in Year 6 we have been exploring a huge range of books and genres. Take a look at what we have looked at so far and what some of our children’s favourite titles are!
Science – Evolution
To end our science topic on evolution and inheritance we created a double page spread to showcase our learning. This gives children a chance to be creative and display their knowledge in different ways.
Art – Andy Warhol
Year 6 have really enjoyed learning about the artist Andy Warhol. They created some fantastic 3D pop-up art, inspired by the artist himself. It took a lot of time and patience to build the structures, but they all showed their incredible resilience!
Star pupils!
So far this year, children have been showing off how hard they have been working. To reward them, they can take home a personalised post card to show how brilliant they have been in school!
Year 6 SATs
The SATs take place over four days: Monday 13th May – Thursday 16th May

- Practise times tables – TTRS
- Practise spellings, focusing on the spelling rule
- MyMaths homework
- SPaG/Maths homework sent home each week
Residential
Miss Allison and Miss Berresford visited Gulliver's Valley over the Easter holidays in preparation for our residential visit. We are SO excited for our trip there in July - there are so many fun activities planned!
