Remote learning is a new concept for all of us. We have worked hard to create a remote learning package that we are extremely proud of. Our Remote Learning Guide has been created to support you as much as possible while you are based at home with your children.

Devices 

Remote learning will require access to a device such as a smart phone, PC, IPad, tablet or laptop, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity. Children can also access home learning through your SMART TV, Xbox or PlayStation.

Remote Learning Policy

The Remote Learning Policy aims to:

• Ensure consistency in the approach to remote learning for pupils who are not in school
• Set out expectations for all members of the school community with regards to remote learning
• Provide appropriate guidelines for data protection

The Remote Learning Plan aims to:

• Ensure all pupils will have access to the same curriculum entitlement whether they be in attendance at the academy or accessing education through remote learning.
• Ensure that when accessing work remotely, all pupils are able to continue to learn and make progress

Remote education is not viewed as an alternative to education in school and all pupils should attend school in line with our Attendance Policy.

Maths

TTRockstars - Children have log in details in their planner (please contact school if you do not have them). Times Tables Rock Stars is a carefully sequenced programme where children can practise their times tables. Children can play independently or play against their friends to improve their times table recall.  

My Maths - Children have log in details in their planner (please contact school if you do not have them). Once logged in, use your individual portal code to access resources set by the class teacher. You can also chose an area to work on that you feel you would like further practise or play some of the games.

Education.com - A wide variety of different resources to promote telling the time - a life skill required by all! This site is full of exciting animated clips and interactive games to build confidence and understanding. 

ICT Games - Free educational games aimed at primary age children linked to the maths curriculum. This site also has games linked to other areas of the curriculum.

Wellbeing

Childline Tool Box - Offers support and calming activities if you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious 

Learn Together - The Home Learning Hub Treasure Trail is a challenge for families to complete together. There are nine challenges to complete. Each level of the challenge involves different websites and resources with thing to find, look at and try. 

ELSA - A range of free activities to support pupils with emotions and helping them with their understanding of the current situation

Young Minds - Resources for pupils and parents to support with mental health, with some specifically linked to the coronavirus outbreak.
